Early History

Based within the village of Cheslyn Hay since its beginning in 1967, David Paradine (Electrical) Ltd was originally formed as a partnership between directors David Paradine and Desmond Clemson trading under the name of Paraclem. 

When the partnership ended in 1973, the company underwent a name change but continued to operate from its original site maintaining a strong association with the local community.

With a heavy focus on high quality industrial work, the company aligned itself as a major provider of electrical services to such companies as Lucas Industries and Ellison Switchgear to name but a few. Although industrial work may no longer be the dominant sector of our business we still provide services to some of the very same sites.

David Paradine retired from the business in 2006 and handed it over to his sons David and James. With a movement away from our traditional industrial activities we soon became specialists within the Healthcare sector carrying our works to BS7671 and HTM Standards. Healthcare and Education have been important to our business during the recessions and through careful planning and commitment to employees the company has grown steadily over the years whilst maintaining the core principles of a family run business. We’re immensely proud to support the local community and with a regional focus towards our customers and supply chain we look engage our dedicated supply chain regularly.

We still operate within the same site and whilst the company originally started within a small building now used for archives; the company is now based within a self contained compound and a modern office environment.

    Managing Director

    James is responsible for the overall direction of the Company and providing leadership to the team. Trust and honesty are fundamental principles towards his approach to life, and work is no different when building relationships.

    Project Manager

    Having worked at David Paradine since 16, Bobby has progressed to Project Manager role. His commitment to quality and delivering for customers is what drives him

  • Luke McManus

    Project Manager

    Luke joined the Company in 2020 and bring over 12 years of experience working within the HVAC field of building services.

  • Tracey Tipton

    Accounts Manager

    Joined the Company on 2021. Tracey is our Accounts Manager responsible for overseeing the management accounts of the Company

  • Mike Bedford

    Associate Director

    Mike is part of our mechanical team and has over 20 years experience working within demanding environments such as aviation. His experience and leadership qualities reflect his approach to fellow employees and customers alike.

  • Sara Boutsalath

    Sara has a comprehensive knowledge of the business systems and is an essential part of the contract delivery team.

  • Jacquie Taylor


    Jacquie is very much front of house when it comes to the office and is often the first to answer the phone. She is actively involved with administration duties throughout the office and supporting the contracts team

  • Steve Jones

    Project Manager

    Steve is an electrical project manager who looks to engage with the project teams with a view to building relationships and delivering results. His extensive experience in estimating brings together a clear understanding of customer requirements.

  • Dean Robins

    Mechanical Coordinator

    Having a background being a proven and experienced mechanical site supervisor, Dean is responsible for ensuring that the mechanical installation teams are maintaining programmes and meeting the requirements of customers.

  • Dave Hutton

    Associate Director

    Dave is responsible for Preconstruction within the business supporting our customers through partnering and collaborative practice.

  • Matthew Turner

    Associate Director

    Matt is responsible for the operations within the contract team and overall delivery of projects.

  • Karl Strange

    Commercial Manager

    Karl is responsible for managing the commercial aspect of the business relating to contracts. Karl has a straightforward approach and seeks to work with our customers and partners to the benefit of all. He brings a wealth of experience to the team having spent time at some of the largest business in the UK and abroad.

  • Kevin Salter

    Project Manager

    Kevin is a mechanical project manager who joined the business in 2023. Kevin has works on a variety of projects in the heating and engineering industry during his time and bring that experience to his work.
